People and Nature in Mountains:Post conference excursion to Budalen
Gunnar Austrheim : 20. oktober 2011 10:52 : Budalen| EnglishThe post conference excursion 24th and 25th September went to Budalen and Storbekkøya summer-farm museum. 25 participants had a memorable and enjoyable event, with visits to a working farm and summer farm, cultural heritage sites and a walk up the valley side. Excursion participants ate traditionally prepared food and stayed in lavos and wood cabins and enjoyed local music. Many thanks to Berit Broen and Heidi Ydse from SNO, Heidi Tovmo and coworkers, Inge Johnsen and coworkers, Ingrid Storlimo & Jenny Gustavsson (Fox Family).

Short report from the People and Nature in Mountains conference
Gunnar Austrheim : 7. oktober 2011 13:11 : EnglishThe People and Nature in Mountains conference took place in Trondheim 21st to 23rd September 2011. The conference was a great success, with 135 registered participants from 9 different countries, hosted in the SpareBank1 conference centre. Forty speakers and many posters were presented to delegates, stimulating many productive discussions. The NTNU Museum of Natural History and Archaeology would like to thank all participants for their presence and for making this event successful.

The DYLAN workshop 2011 took place at Bergen Museum, University of Bergen 10th and 11th of March. Around 30 scientists involved in the project participated. Pdf-files of some presentations could be downloaded here.

Welcome to the Dylan workshop at Bergen Museum in March 2011

We will start with an open workshopon on the 10th with invited guests from different management departments, while the workshop on the 11th will be an internal workshop for the members of the Dylan project including the advisory group.

Gunnar Austrheim : 16. desember 2010 14:37 : EnglishThe DYLAN project will organise a conference in Trondheim, Norway next year. The conference is entitled «People and nature in mountains: Changing land use and landscape dynamics».
The conference will be held from the 21st to 23rd September 2011. The conference is hosted by The NTNU Museum of Natural History and Archaeology. Registration and abstract submission will open in spring 2011.

The post-doc project is administrated by NTNU Museum of Natural History and Archaeology, Trondheim, with working place at Tromsø University Museum.
DYLAN Workshop 4-5 March 2010

Around 25 scientists involved in the project participated. Representatives from the management (Statskog, Statens landbruksforvaltning og Riksantikvaren) joined the first day. The project had a poster on the Trondheim Conferences on Biodiversity Feb 1-5, 2010.
