Many of the glacial finds and observations of animals using alpine ice patches or glaciers are done by hikers or hunters, or by researchers from other fields.

If you happen to find old remains at such sites or have observations/pictures of birds or mammals that actively use permanent alpine glaciers or snow/ice patches, for e.g. resting, foraging etc., we are more than happy to hear about it.

If you have found and collected something, we recommend to keep it frozen or refrigerated as much as possible and to note GPS-positions.

Please note that collecting archaeological material is often prohibited. Check the rules for your respective areas. It is often better to note the position of the finds, take pictures and let researchers do the collecting.
