Citizen science means that anyone can contribute by collecting data about what species they've seen, and when and where they've seen it. Enormous data quantities are recorded every day. Researchers at the NTNU University museum have been trying to figure out how this data can be used to its full potential although there are large issues related to data quality and bias. For example, there are lot of citizen science data from inside cities and not so much from outside. Photo: born1945 (original), Nina-marta (mod.) [CC BY 2.0]
