Visions from nature
NTNU Museum at ForBio 2018
Last week the 7th Annual ForBio Meeting took place in Tromsø, with a large contingent of our scientists heading up to the city of the Northern Lights. The NTNU Museum had a particularly successful conference this year, with Masters student Ida Marielle Mienna taking home the prize for the Best Presentation.
The ForBio conference takes place in Norway early on every year. It’s a chance for Norwegian researchers to come together and share their research, experience and knowledge with each other, and is a fantastic networking opportunity.
Ida is in the final stages of her Masters degree and gave her talk on plant phylogenies and community dynamics. The Museum passes on congratulations to Ida for her excellent presentation.
Ida, as well as associate professor Mike Martin and PhD candidates Lena Meleschko, Vanessa Bieker and Narcis Yousefi gave presentations at this year’s conference, while Malene Nygård presented a poster on her research.
